Each of the following websites list hikes from
various regions of North America that are considered "day hikes"
and thus should be appropriate for a Pathfinder summer outing. Use
the opportunity to invite prospective Pathfinders on this SUMMER
ADVENTURE!

winner. There are spectacular hikes listed in most of the
50 states, along with directions, descriptions, and difficulty
levels.

4. U.S. National Parks
and Recreation -- http://www.recreation.gov
This site lists all the hiking trails available
in the National Recreation areas and National Monuments in the US
National Park system. It will take a little bit of research, but
it might well be worth the effort!

This site has a moderate list of nice hikes, but
these ones are different. They're off the beaten path, and are PRIME
for a GPS unit. Work on your Geocaching AY Honor while hiking some
of these fun destinations.
