Hello Miguel,
sure, the site is
http://www.viennasda.org/pathfinders
It was down a few days ago but should be up and running now.
As far as your second question... I know exactly what you mean. My own friends left a few years before I did, right about when they got in high school.
(personally, I was very busy with all the other stuff I had comming up like at school, so I didnt have time for pathfinders, and there was an even that I was going to be a part of that took place the same time is most meetings... but I only left my last year as a TLT, this yr)
My answer to that is depending on the club, they are not doing a good enough job of keeping the teens interested. My club was good, but not good enough for some of their tastes, and you have to understand that teens are trying to discover new things and want to have fun more than anything. Many prefer not to read stuff for requirement and to do this and that, and to have to do drill and stand in line... as funny as that sounds... BUT that was one group of my friends. Another group of my friends are completely opposite, but they are from different clubs, in fact, a different conference. They LOVE being in pathfinders, and enjoy every bit of it, the counseling the drilling and performance, and one thing that my club didn't have was drum core, which people especially like. I think there where other things that those clubs did that kept youth there, but the churches they were attached to also did a good job with other youth programs. My church does an ok job, but compared to what I have seen and heard about other churches in my area they could do better.
Sometimes you could just be unlucky and have a bunch of teens that would never be interested... something has to make them want to come there, and when some people started to leave at my club, others saw their friends weren't there anymore and decided to follow suit. I stayed because I felt that there was more to pathfinders than just being with my friends. I took on many more leadership roles and felt that I could at least help the younger kids. Not every teen has these ideals.
so as far as teens not thinking its cool, you're right many don't. many people kinda laughed at me when they found out I was still in pathfinders. They often feel they have better things to do(jobs, girlfriends and boyfriends, homework, or just having fun somewhere else). and to the note that some leave the church altogether, like I said earlier it may be that unattractive (to teens) clubs may also be attached to not so good youth programs. I don't know if other people would disagree with what I have said but this is my take on the situation.
You may also want to make this a seperate topic in this section.
