Which class do you think is better?

I don't really think one class is better than the other... Although Ranger cetainly is a step above Explorer.

As far as the names go, Explorer sounds more adventurous to me! But that's kinda arbitrary.

I voted Ranger though because I've found it is a lot easyier to teach the Ranger class. I don't know why? I think it has to do with the maturity of the kids. If they have stuck thru to Ranger they will listen better. :?

I voted ranger too, just because, between the two, that was my favorite year... maybe it was because I was getting older, and more of the kids that really didn't want to be there, well, they weren't...

What if you get scared half to death twice? Then you're 3/4 of the way there. The second time, you move half way from where you are! Thus, you can be scared half to death an infinite number of times, but never ever get there. This is known as Xeno's paradox.

Wow, you sound like the algebra teacher I had. He always obsessed about that. People would get confused by that and he would tell them to stand up. Then he would tell them to walk halfway to the wall, then halfway again, then again. Then in an excited voice he would say, "and no matter how many times you go halfway, you will never get to the wall!"

Good Times

I voted Ranger also. My reason is more of a get er done reason. If I place one thing to a higher position, it gives me a goal to reach, in my case I've never earned anything higher than Explorer (to which I have earned by teaching it). This way I know that next year (actually this year) I will have the goal of teaching the Ranger class. I think that's a great way to stay in pathfinders - always set goals for yourself and your kids.

My vote goes to explorers (obviously, the only one too lol). If you like to go for the advance bar, you would discover that the explorer class is so diverse. I'm teaching it this year and I'm thrilled that I have the opportunity to learn and teach so much.

I liked them all equally. First one I ever taught was Friend, the hardest was Voyager because academy was sort of taking up time.

So far my favorite to teach is Guide! And the kids that age are awesome!

I am doing explorer this year, but I haven't looked at the ranger or anything like that, so I voted explorer. It is pretty fun, although at the last camporee they did class levels and they only got through 1 thing... That was because a certain kid from a different club kept saying long things to everything...

Agree that all of them are different. When I started a club I taught 3 classes at the same time (Friend, Companion, Explorer)
