Ya, ya.... If you don't play these games at night, there is no point.

Unfortunately my conference doesn't really do these kinds of things at camporees. That really makes me sad.

Does anyone out there have any variations on either of these games. I know our club has tried to combine the two before. Playing Evasion with one flag. That was crazy. It didn't work out too well. It was too hard to find the flag. :?

Hey Sara!! Welcome to the Forum! O yea, night games are the best!!

So evasion is where you have two groups of people and they try to find eachother in the dark, right Rider1000? :? Defenition please...

 In my neck of the wood my conference plays stalking in consealment. There are adults w/fashlights trying to find you and all the kids try to make it from point A to point B withouth being caught. It's lot's of fun in a wooded, brushed area!!

:o Capture the flag in the dark is fun too!! We do it with our club fairly reguarly.

Evasion - One team goes to a drop off point and at a certain time, begins the journey back to base. The other team waits until the first team has begun evading, then begins pursuing. The object of the game is to get back to the base without being caught be the defending team. Each team takes a turn and the team that gets the most people home wins!

If you don't play these games in complete darkness, with no glow sticks, it is no where near as fun. The less light there is the better. About a month ago, my club went on a campout and we played a mixture of evasion and capture the flag, on a steep hillside with lots of trees. That was a really fun game, and I agree, the more wooded an area is, the better the game is. :smt081

Thanks for the explanation of evation rider1000...

With stalking in Consealment the kids start somewhere and end somewhere else. Trying to get to the objective without getting caught. We have adults that have flashlights trying to find you. It is best on a very dark night in a woody area.

Fun stuff those night games are!

Your game sounds kind of like a hard version of evasion. I believe we used to play that at a conference event called, dun..dun..dun.... Teen Evasion :!: :!: :!:  Some of the staff peoples actually had night vision, that was scary. Made it extremely difficult. but very fun :smt081

:( Ohh, ohh, night vision is cheating...

That would be really fun and hard. I think I would rather be the guy with night vision...

It is easy to get past the people that keep there flashlights on. But I seem to get caught when people turn off there flashlights, and all of a sudden turn them on when you step on there toes :!:

:x Yea, they will see you first. I was using "steping on there toes" figuratively.

I usually get caught becuase they hear me. Ugg, those dry leaves, pine needles, and sticks just can't keep quiet. :x

I gets really hard to stay away from people. If your the only one left, and everyone is looking for you, it's almost scary. That's happened to me a couple times.

:) Yea, Another stratigy I use is follow behind a big group. As they get caught, I can see where the catchers are... and try to avoid them. 8)

I didn't know it was possible to play during the day? I have no idea how that would work, but hey. I believe it is only good if played at night. hehe That might just be me though.

 ok, ok sorry guys and gals :!:

It's been a while sence I played it, ok let me think... :?

Medic is a group game. 2 teams. Kinda like a glorified capture the flag w/freeze tag. But it's fun.

You chose several people as medics on each side. Number varies with how many people are playing. Each team objective is to get several objects in a ring on the oponets side. I think there was a jail too for certan offences. but basicly if you got taged not on your side you would freeze. Only the medics could free you. If a medic got taged he was out/dead for the rest of the game.

Hope that answers questions, it's been a couple years but it was fun...
