Cohutta is awesome... the program is incredible and the staff is great. And I'm not just saying that because I work there. I have always thought that and always will. Today, we are getting ACA acredited, so that will make us a lot bigger. We already have some really cool programs, and they continue to expand. Six full weeks of camp, and some kids come to all six.

It is in georgia, just south of the tennessee border about 45 minutes from chattanooga, located in Crandall, Georgia.

And if you like wakeboarding, we have the top of the line, air natique boats (3 of them) and hyperlite boards. And some awesome instructors that will get you up in no time.

Check out the website... Mitch posted the link, thanks bud

Well, this (and last) summer, I went to Young Disciple Youth Bible Camp in Inchelium, WA. It is an awesome camp that trains you for evangelism and is a really neat spiritual experience! This year the classes I took were Writing Ministry, Drilling & Marching (yay!!), Nature Photography, Orchestra, Kitchen Creations, and DVD Evangelism (all over the course of 2 weeks). I had sooo much fun!! Next year I definitely want to go back as a counselor. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in evangelism!! 8) http://www.youngdisciple.com

Kayak camp I started this past sunday. I think they've only been doing that camp for a year or two though....

PT, you've been coming to Cohutta? are you coming this year? If you came last year, you probably know me... I taught Mountain Biking last year, same thing I'm doing this year...

I’ve never been to YD (Young Disciple Youth Bible Camp), but I have had many friends that have gone. I hear it is an awesome experience. It is a different experience than a conference summer camp. I would say kinda like a summer camp/bible school experience. Here is what Emily said about it last year:

Maybe she can tell us more about it! Do visit the website, it has good information about the camp and such.

Wow, that sounds like a really great camp. I would love to go, but when I looked at the cost it's $300. I can't afford that.

Wow, basically I summed most of it up last year! But it definitely is such a spiritual time, not to mention a lot of fun! The kids are all so sincere in their desire to learn more about God and His work.

Yea, it does seem expensive, but let me tell you, it is all worth it! This year, my brother sold some books, and did work outside for people, to earn his money.

Now that I've started going to camp, I am totally won over! Of course, I guess I am a little biased now, since I work full-time here now. ;-) This ministry has been such a blessing in my life!! :D

Yeah I am defiantly for Young Disciple Camp!! I have gone for 2 years and this next year I do believe I will be a counselor there... :D So I am very happy but for those of you who have never been to the camp....You neeeeeed to go and check it out....there are people who come literally from all over the country! But the spiritual lessons that you learn and the life and recreational skills that you learn are way to cool! If you hate rules though...then don't come to this camp...lol... So yeah I am all for YD camp..

Enough of my talkative mouth...

So what exactly is YD camp? I've heard of it, and I keep hearing it's really good... What makes it different from other camps? It's kind of expensive, isn't it?

Young Disciple Youth Bible Camp is differant than other camps because for 1 their standards are high and that is why I said for those of you who hate rules, you shouldn't come.
They teach you practical and biblical lessons where as most other camps teach you just outdoor stuff like wakeboarding and stuff. Which don't get me wrong wakeboarding is great I loveeee wakeboading and YD does teach some of those kinds of classes in their "Recreational" classes. Besides Recreational classes they have Lifeskills classes, and Outreach classes. The Lifeskills is more of wilderness survival, first aid, photagraphy, ect. Outreach classes are classes that teach you how to do exactly what it says, reach out to other people. Some of their classes include, DVD evagelism, Choir, Orchestra, Health evangelism ect.
So this camp, when you leave to go home, you leave with alot more knowledge then you came with :)
You have to go and see it for your self inorder to understand why people love it so much, and to find out more info on it here is the website http://www.youngdisciple.com/

Hope that helps :D
