According to the NAD website, the club crest goes 3/4" below the seam on the shoulder but the conference patch is only 1/4" below the seam on the other shoulder. Aren't they both supposed to be 3/4"?

I thought they were both 1/2...

All manuals I have put the crest at 3/4, the conference patch at 1/4. The difference is probably related to the amount of additional patches that come below the Conference patch. Also, if there is no Conference patch, the World patch (or PLA/PIA) is 2 inches below the shoulder seam.

Here, we have the conference patch, then the union patch, then the world patch. This is for the Master Guide uniform so I don't need to save space, just wanted the official answer.

I wouldn't think they'd have everyone start at 1/4", maybe shift to as high as 1/4" if room doesn't allow for a small kids uniform but not start there for everyone.

I found what is the answer for me.

http://www.snecyouth.org/sites/default/files/PF%20UNIFORM%20LAYOUT-Rev%20Sept%202008.pdf

This link is from the Southern New England Conference and doesn't specify that it's for the SNEC but I'd assume that it at least applies to the SNEC thus I'll go by it.

Everyone be sure to check with your conference if they use the manual stick with it. There is no universal size for these patches and if they are too low Your Master Guide Patch may not fit your short sleeve shirt or be at the elbow on your long sleeve shirt (this is too low).

Which Master Guide patch goes on the sleeve of the uniform? I'm confused... If you are an Area Coordinator, Director, Instructor, etc., the sleeve strip goes on one side, but I'm not aware of any Master Guide patch that goes on either sleeve. The Master Guide class strip goes over the left pocket...

There are two possibilities. One is the MG star, and the other is an MG star with six (or eight in FL) chevrons. It goes where the chevrons go. The star is item #002263, and the star with chevrons is #002261 at AdventSource.

Oh, sorry, brain freeze here! :? Of course, the MG Star or MG Combination Chevron! Sorry about that! For some reason my brain automatically went to the MG Crest or MG Class Name Strip. I guess it's one of those days... Yes, caution needs to be used when placing those patches so that if you have the MG Combination Chevron it doesn't end up wanting to hang off the end of your short sleeve! The Lake Union doesn't have its own patch, so we are not as inclined to have the problem as those unions who seem to think they need to have a patch in addition to the conference patch. Makes life a bit easier when sewing on patches is already a less-than-favorite chore.
