I do have a job. It will pay some school but most certainly not all. Scholarships and grants would be nice. lol

I'll be praying you get what you need for college sweetie2u. Its quite a process to get things all figured out. I"m really blessed that for me everything is working out for this next year of college.

I would also like to request we pray for the Oshkosh Pathfinder Camporee this next week. Especially right now praying for traveling safety for the many Pathfinders already on there way. I hope this camporee can truly challenge the Pathfinders to stand spiritually for Jesus, and it will make an impact in their lives.

Yes, that's an important one. That they can stand and deliver.

Can you guys pray for me as I try to make a decision for college over the weekend? I'm dropping out of the honors program and I'll have to find classes to fill in my schedule, which means I have to decide between music and science. I like both of them, but I like music better, but science will make more money...

If you go into science, you can do music as a hobby whenever you feel like doing music. If you go into music, then you have to do music even when you don't feel like it. On the other hand, if you don't like science, you prolly shouldn't go that route either, because you'll be doing science every day.

Don't feel guilty about going after the money either. There is a difference between greed and practicality. Money surely can't buy happiness, but the lack of it can sure buy a lot of misery. Just make sure that money remains your servant and not the other way around.

Dunno how valuable that advice is, but I will certainly pray for you. We know there is value in that!

I do agree with jomegat. But I'll pray that God will lead you in the right direction.

Please pray for the people of Christchurch South New Zealand as they rebuild their communities and city after a devistaing earthquake Feb22, 2011
abouth 10000 homes will need to be demoslihed and rebuilt, many buildings in the CBD collasped and close to 200 killed. Most of the city has not had electricity for several days after quake and still parts of the eastern suburbs still have no sewerage working and have to eaither use their dug hole in backyard or use portaloos in the streets.
Pray also for the people in Japan with their quake and tidal wave.

Any updates on how the rebuilding is going in Christchurch NZ? The news channels here in the USA are busy talking about Qadaffi and other war stuff...

I was up there 2 weeks ago. The central Business district was cordended off No entry to anyone. A state of emergency still exists. Most people have electricity and water (upto several days ago had to boil all drinking water but now has been declared safe), portaloos are still the fashion in some residentail areas. In other areas the pumping stations and pipes are still being repaired and replaced, so they encourage people not to put lots down the sewerage sysytem. They have lots of pump truck pumping and cleaning the pipes. The rebuild has not started. They are still pulling down buildings unsafe, and deciding how to demolish a highrise (7 ish story) hotel which has one end sunk. kots of roads are damaged with major problems in some overbridges, so traffic travel can be real slow. I was up ther staying at my sons flat near Canturbury Uni where he is they had no problems just the boiling water. I was up to help the instruction at the Conference MG and PLA training weekend, as well as to find 7 letterboxes for the honour!!, then a 6.5 hour drive home.
