I went winter camping with my club this weekend. It was really nice out. 50s or so on Sabbath and night temps weren't bad either. Although for a "winter" campout I wish it would have been colder, maybe with some SNOW for once. (Ironic, but I don't think I've ever been on a winter campout in which we had snow.)

On Sabbath afternoon we took a hike to get the Orienteering honor. I slide down a mud bank and got mud all over the side of my leg. Later I burried one of my shoes in mud. Lol, it was kinda funny. 'Cept for the fact that I hadn't packed until the day we left in between class and work and therefore was very rushed and hence forgot my mud shoes.

If we're lucky, it stays that long.

On a different note, it is wildernessfun's birthday on Friday, March 7. Please wish him a Happy Birthday!

It's way too cold up here, I got too used to the 70's in Florida...

How was everyone's Spring Break? Or have you not had yours yet?

We had some "snow" a couple weeks ago too... and now it's almost 70 degrees outside in the days.

It'll be nice and warm that's for sure... I plan on teaching my class right next to a creek... that should be refreshing!

Its been so beautiful here. Maybe that can explain just slightly my absence from this forum for so long. Although, college has been keeping me busy too.. It's been perfect weather for biking.

Is this for all teen pathfinders or just TLTs? I'm new and I want to make sure I'm posting in the right area. :)

The TLT program is for those who are high school age who wish to get a better understanding of leadership. Usually the TLT program is started during Voyager year, though ultimately, it is up to the conference to decide when the TLT program is started. If you aren't sure, ask a conference official.

According to the TLT Manual:

    Requirements for Membership
    A. Be in grades 9-12, and submit application which has been:
    1. processed and signed by the sponsoring Pathfinder Club Director
    2. recommended by the church pastor
    3. registered with the Conference Pathfinder Director.
    B. Application to be renewed, accepted, and registered annually.
    C. Actively participate in leadership skill development assignments.
    D. Personality traits promoted by Christian ethics and the TLT
Pledge must be an integral part of the participant’s lifestyle.

If you become a TLT at 16, it is unlikely you will be able to complete all 4 years of it. So its grades 9-12. Of course like VP said, it can very by conference. I know though my conference accepts them at 9th grade.

There are excerpts of the TLT manuel here: http://www.pathfindersonline.org/pdf/classwork/tlt_manual_excerpts.pdf
