I remember there being a 'new' pathfinder song when I was in a club years ago (over 25 years ago). It's lyrics were: "Pathfinders North and South, Pathfinders East and West. The turned up corners of each Pathfinder's mouth show the world we'll do our best. Pathfinders everywhere, following God's command. The gospel message we will happily share as we go to every land." That's as much as I can remember, but can't find it anywhere in any listings or searches. Could you shed any light? Thanks.

I have to say that I have never heard that one before. That does not mean it is not out there somewhere still today. Hope we can find some more info on it.

God Bless,

When I started reading the lyrics you posted, I knew I'd heard it before. After thinking a couple seconds, I realized it was in the Pathfinders Sing book. It's #41, with the "traditional" Pathfinder song as #51. Here are the complete lyrics:

Quote:
Pathfinders north and south,
Pathfinders east and west;
The turned-up corners of each Pathfinder's mouth
Show the world we'll do our best.

Pathfinders ev'rywhere
Following God's command;
The gospel message we will happily share
As we go to ev'ry land.

So smile, just smile
whether skies be sunny or gray;
Just smile, you're a Pathfinder;
And a smile will light the way.

Thanks so much for solving this riddle in my head for me. As I was reading the Smile - part, I had remembered the first two lines of that chorus correctly, but didn't know where it went from there. Now I know I can teach this to my children, who are now Pathfinders, and at least know that I'm teaching them correctly.

Full of gratitude, 3Pathfinder Mom!

I'm not sure it was ever officially changed, but I may be wrong. As far as I know, "We Are the Pathfinders Strong" has always been the official Pathfinder song, although I like the one that 3pathfindermom was talking about too. Wish more people knew that... I think I'm gonna try and teach it to my club.
