My club will be hosting a spaghetti dinner (fundraiser) on the 22nd of this month. We will aslo be showing the videos from Oshkosh as well as showcasing pins and photos. :D

I think that the spaghetti dinner will be a good funraiser for us. Wea are also selling fruit. And our club has been asked to provide the meals for the annual conference leadership training. We will be getting $25 per person, and we will get to keep half of it for our funds.

In my experience, its essential to clump together fundraisers.

For example, a spaghetti dinner may break even or you might make a LITTLE BIT, depending on a variety of factors of course.

However, if you have a craft fair/auction, or a "sell a Pathfinder" fundraiser that takes place after the dinner, you can make a LOT more.

One year, our club did a Valentines Spaghetti dinner, then sold candles, lamps, etc. that we had made as part of our craft honors. Because we'd done those honors with quality and $$ sales in mind, the products were done well.

As sad as it sounds, kids with divorced parents make the most money for a club at auctions, since BOTH of their parents want to buy their crafts. . . .

Another thing you can do is a spaghetti dinner and afterwards a talent show. You can charge a little extra for the show.
