I was recently asked to be the director for our club for this coming year. While I am excited for this opportunity, I have several concerns about accepting it.
First, I'm concerned about my ability to be able to make it to the weekly meetings (due to my having to work late often). I also have to work almost every Sunday (in accordance with my religious accommodation at work). I don't know if I'd be there enough for me to be considered the "Director."
Secondly, I'm not certain at this time about staffing levels (both counselors or other functions) for this coming year.
I don't want this club to not exist, but I don't know that it will get what it deserves from me, without additional support.

My club does not meet every week - we typically meet on three Sundays in a month and have one Sabbath outreach activity per month. A lot of clubs in my conference meet only twice per month. I don't know of any that meet every week.
You could meet on a weekday evening instead of on Sundays.
A lot of clubs meet on Sabbath afternoons after church, but that can make it difficult to take care of non-Sabbath activities.
You could have the bulk of the meetings on Sabbath and reserve a weeknight or two per month to take care of the rest.
