That name... Dr. David Kessler... sounds so familiar.

Hey guys,

I just feeling a little down, discouraged and confused. I suppose it would help to go to bed considering it is nearly 12, but I have miles of homework before I sleep... If you could just send up a little prayer for me.

Thanks,
Jonathan

So, This Sabbath is the SonRise Resurrection Pageant at Southern. For a few of us on the board, this means sleepless nights until next week. Please keep us and the program in your prayers. Around 8000 people will witness the last week of Christ's life, please pray that someone will be reached!

This is an update on Chris's whife Kathi - is doing ok after surgery although she has a large incision on her back that makes moving her arms very painful right now. She still needs a lot of help so Chris will continue on full time nursing duty this week. Keep her in your prayers.

Well... The SonRise service in Collegedale seemed to go very well over all. I know quite a few people who had very little sleep during the week before and a day or two afterwards (wildernessfun & I were some of them).

Please continue to pray that this event touched someone.

Hey guys,

I just found out from another forum that one of the guys in the Chattanooga caving community just lost his brother to a gunshot wound (police are not sure if it was self-inflicted or if fowl play was involved). I don't know this guy, but I know he needs our prayers. Thanks!

Well the doctors seem to have figured things out and my friend is on the way to recovery!

In other news, I think that with the end of the school year coming up way to soon, we should keep those of us still in school in prayer. School is wrapping up fast. I know that I am struggling to keep up with all my assignments and projects. It doesn't help that three of my classes had trips this month. Between those trips and camporee, I will have been gone from home 14 out of the 30 days of this month! I am just swamped and am needing 30 hours in a day! Finals are next week for me, and I know that I and everyone else needs prayer for those!

Jonathan

I will be praying for your Outdoor School. I just got back from teaching one at Camp Alamisco, AL! I know you will have a blast! Outdoor education is my life by the way...

Jonathan

BTW - Are you guys going to Camp Big Lake? I spent a weekend there one time and it was beautiful!

outdoor school ROCKED! We did rappelling, tide pools, tie-dying, had a talent show, did archery, survival and compass, and a bunch of other fun stuff. . In archery they put 20 dollar bills on the target and if you hit the bill, you could keep it! I was only an inch away from getting 20 dollars. Rappelling was my favorite thing there :D

I am happy to hear that it was a fun and safe trip! I always send up a prayer for God to send extra angels when ever we do something adventurous with our youth. I am sure that we often send our angels into tailspins! Glad things went well and I hope you learned a lot!

PS - Glad you enjoyed rappelling so much. Rappelling into vertical caves is my favorite hobby. Hence my avatar...
