If you are looking for additional resources to help plan and teach the Adventist Heritage portions of the Friend and Companion IA, the Atlantic Union Conference has a set of resources for their Church-School teachers (http://teacherbulletin.org/). Within these are a five-part series called Lest We Forget, which traces the origins of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, placing it in its historical and social context. These are great resources, designed for teaching and classroom use, and would also work as part of Pathfinders, AY or Sabbath School classes.

Lest We Forget, Volume I: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... we-forget1
Lest We Forget, Volume II: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... -forget-ii
Lest We Forget, Volume III: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... forget-iii
Lest We Forget, Volume IV: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... -forget-iv
Lest We Forget (Timeline): http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... -we-forget

Other units they have produced that may be useful for this include:

James S. White: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... s-s.-white
Ellen G. White: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... n-g.-white
Ellen White; The Journey of Faith: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... y-of-faith
Adventist Heritage: http://teacherbulletin.org/volumes/volu ... t-heritage

There are, of course, many books and audio-programs available to assist with this. In addition, a few more from online that may be helpful:

Advent Times also has some brief biographies of Adventist Pioneers: http://adventtimes.com/blogs/pioneers/

The Ellen White Estate has a series of write-ups on Adventist openers as well: http://www.whiteestate.org/pioneer/andrews.asp (Scroll to the bottom for the full listing).

Everett Dick"s 1938 Founders of the Message is available online: http://temcat.com/L-1-adv-pioneer-lib/S ... essage.pdf

The General Conference also posted some materials as part of the 150th anniversary of the Seventh-day Adventist Church: http://www.adventist.org/150/

Have any other great resources to share?
