Please share some of the themes used by your Conference Camporees.
Our Pathfinder/Adventurer Council (PAC) is always looking for ideas.

For example, one of my favorite themes is the Secret Camporee. :smt017 The Secret Camporee came about because we were holding a Conference Camporee very early in the Pathfinder year. Because there was not time to practice any of the events, we kept the Camporee events secret. Keeping them secret kept the experienced Directors from having an advantage over the new Directors.

We have done the serect theme twice in the last 6 years. The first time the Camporee patch had Jesus coming in the clouds with the patch reading "It's no secret, He is coming again".

Going to the Son

The patch was a picture of a winding road toward the sun.

Was a great event, with awesome memories for all of us, but it could only be done at or near Glacier Park, with it's "going to the sun road".

Here's the themes for the last two years for the GA-Cumberland Conf.
The clubs have been encouraged to do teach honors and do other activities throughout the year that pertain to the theme. Since camporees are always at the end of the Pathfinder year this works out well.

2004 - Walking in His Moccasins – Native Americans

2005 - American Pioneers - “A Gateway to a New World”

Upper Columbia Conference felt the need to have the kids get into the bible more. This year is the "year of the Word"

It won't be just the theme at the Camporee, but also every other Conference event. At the Fair, Teen Retreat, Staff Retreat, Teen Mission Adventure, and bible bowls....ect...

I have been blessed so far this year :!: :!: We have had good speakers and I think a lot of kids have found Jesus and a way to stay connected with him through his Word! :)

Gulf States Conf for the past 3 years has been doing what's called a "Take a City for Christ" camporee. Instead of earning honors, it's a mission camporee - we go into the city to designated areas preset by the city and clean up. It's a great outreach. This year we're hosting the camporee - here in Panama City. The previous 2 years has been in Fort Walton. It's going to be awesome!!!

The theme for the SEC camporee 2005 was I've Been Set Up High Upon a Rock.

We got water bottles and wristbands with the theme on.

The Gulf States Conference Camporee is called "Christ Our Navigator".

As you can guess, we'll be focused on how Christ navigates us. Our club is making a camp entrance sign based on this theme. There will be games also, same idea: Trailing, rafting, etc. Also, the Gulf States lighthouse from FOF will be there, right at the point to light up the nite sky of Lake Martin.

I can't wait - it's THIS WEEK! (Oct. 13-16) YAY!

Yeah we always have a drill down I got 6th place this year our of all the people who did it. Our theme this year is Growing In Jesus. Our patch has a Cross growing on a tree. we have also had Sowing With Christ and 3 yrs ago at our Union it was One Step Closer. I really enjoy the 5k that we have every year. In 2008 I got 2nd place for girls. This year me and my friends finished 4th which isn't bad but we're really really good at it.
