Hello every one! I'm new to the "forum" just joined yesterday. I am an avid Pathfinder Pin collector, or church related pins. I would love to interact and trade pins with any one on the forum who have duplicate pins to trade. There're some pins from Michigan, Texas and California that I'm interested in. :D

Hi el jibaro,

Welcome to the forum! We are planning a forum meet-up at Oshkosh - Wednesday at 1:30 in the email center in hanger A. Bring your pins! I'm sure someone there will trade with you.

Do to events beyond my control I will not be able to make it to the camporee. I have been on the last two at Oskosh and had a wonderful time. That's why I'm trying to see if I can trade some pins with friends on the forum. Thanks for replying.

I have some left over from FOF and possibly DTP I may be interested in trading. I'm collecting sets and unusual pins, some sets I'm not collecting but have a few from those as well. I even have extra MI pins from FOF! (Yellow & light blue)... I also have a purple TX from FOF and one of the CA pins. I'm looking to complete my OK pin set (missing 2 and the rainbow pin)..

You won't have trouble trading those. Kids like to trade anything. For the rainbow, I recommend that you check the Area Coordinator (AC) of the clubs. When I found it and traded, I asked the man I traded with (he wanted Alaska) why it was hard to find the rainbow, he told me that it was only the AC who had them. By the way, I didn't have trouble trading Alaska since Alaska was staying with us and I just went back and asked the pastor for another one. And of course, I have the Union set.

Ah! Look for Ohio or the Columbia Union. We will have a Columbia Union pin. It looks like a spinner. We will have also the Oshkosh/Union patch.

Is your club has a pin. If so, what is the design so I look for it.

Although I won't be at the Camporee, my brother will be there, I have sent all my trading pins with him, plus he has a whole bunch more, his name is Jorge (George) you will find him easily since he has a lot of pins to trade. He comissioned a set of three pins which are awsome looking you will definitely want to have this sed. They are all in the shape of a star, they differ in size and color, one is a dangler, one a combo of pins. He will be looking for sets to collect plus some pins from previous camporees, or pathfinder clubs/conference pins.

Before I start driving around to all the stores, where would be the best place to find a pin collection book to store my pins? I saw several of them at the Camporee but never had the chance to get one for myself. Would a place like Michael's have them?

Thanks. I was hoping to purchase one at a local store and not online, do you (or anyone) know what stores carry pin bags?

Do you have double's to trade? I still have some double pins from the camporee that I would be willing to trade off for some that I don't have. If you have doubles can you send some pics to see? I can do the same of the duplicates I have. Let me know if interested.

With regards to a pin book, they can run expensive. You may be able to find some good deals on e-bay. I personally opted to make my own pages. Michael's carries a felt like material. The sheets are long and you can cut them in half and make two pages out of one. They come in different colors. My favorite is the dark blue. The sheet cost 0.99 cents. I use a sticky rubber backing they also sell and the page becomes quite sturdy yet flexible enough. You can then place the sheets on a D-ring folder, preferably the 4" type. I have made seven of these books for my various pin collections. I can send you a couple of pics if you are interested.

Did any of you get the pin that you wanted? I did on Friday afternoon. I was looking for the Atlantic Union, which was the favorite.

Did you get an Atlantic Union pin Betsy? I'm guessing someone in my club still has an extra.

Yes, I got it on Friday after the parade. There was a person from Puerto Rico looking for the Chinese 'Hope' and was trading one of the Puerto Rico pin. He did have the 'ferris wheel' So, I told him that I would trade the Chinese set (3) for the 'ferris wheel'. At first he wanted just the 'Hope' but then he agree to. :P
