YD is for you if you want to get involved in evangelism and outreach of many different aspects. Child evangelism, music evangelism, health evangelism, preaching, Bible work, and even letter writing...

Like missiongirl07 said, its standards are high. You're there to get to know God better and learn to serve Him, and also to get to know other youth who are striving for the same purpose.

But there are a lot of fun things to do too! I really like their recreational and lifeskills classes. You really do learn a lot! (Hey, they even have a drill & march class :) )

So yep. You should come and try it out if you can! I haven't compared their prices to those of other camps, but I know that it is totally worth your time and money. :!:

I've never been to any other camp besides YD, so I really don't know what other camps are like. Missiongirl07, you know, right? Since you've been to Mivoden?

Ummm...I can't say I was very happy with Camp Mivoden..But I know that is my oppinion so don't take my word for it, but I have only been to CM and YD and YD is the best! That is for me anyways ;)

You will have to stick your neck out there and see it for yourself :D

That really sounds like my kind of camp! However, it's way more than I'd like to spend on a camp...

I think that this summer I'm going magabooking. I think it'll be a good experience, and I'll earn at least a little money plus scholarships too.

Magabooking is where yoiu go door-to-door selling books, more specifically books that teach people about God. Some of the books that are sold in this program are Spirit of Prophecy books like The Desire of Ages, The Great Controversy, and other of E.G. White's books, and there are also other Christian books. The reason for the name "maga-booking" is because the books are all paperback and magazine-size, making them more affordable and thus placing the truth-filled books in more people's homes.

Well, there are slight differences, but not that much.

I'll be working at Cohutta Springs again this summer! Teaching wilderness survival this time!

I've never attended a YD camp, but they sound really fun and spiritual at the same time! They are kind of expensive and far away from where I live, that's all that's keeping me from going.

If you'd like to learn more about their camps, here is a link. (Like I said, I've never been to one so a link is the best I can do).

I'm going to be working at YD this summer. Its not a whole summer thing, so I'll be working for my dad also. But anyway, yea you could message me if you have any more questions. Or I know several others on here that know more about that camp than I do. Can't wait for summer, I think all of us can't wait about this time of year. :?

I'm going to be at the Dakota Conference Teen Camp at Lake Mentigoshe. My dad's camp pastor & we're also doing the music.

Thanks both of you! It's nice to be back again :)

I'm getting a little nervous about doing the music for camp because I'm attempting to play the bass and I just started playing it yesterday! I'm bringing a few of my other instruments along too, so I guess I won't have to worry about not having anything to play during it.

Have fun at camp Emibug!! :)
