As we become teens it seams we want to meet other teens, hang out, and do more "extreme" stuff!!

What does your conference do especially for you as a teen :?:

My conference Upper Columbia Conference has an annual weekend Teen Retreat that has happened for years at Camp Mivoden.

Just last year we started "Teen Extreme" events twice a year. So far we have done the Caving honor, and Rock climbing honor!! They were both fun and had a very deep spiritual impact. This fall the Mountain Biking honor!! YEA!!!

UCC Teen Mission Adventure is also an awesome week of fun and service!! During spring break teens get together for a week of work, we have gone to summer camps, schools, churchs... done comunity service and VBS/Story hour programs. It is not just work… well it is work... But it is a lot more.. of all of them this one is my favorite!! :)

What does your conference do especially for you as a teen :?:

:) Our Teen Extreem Events are an awesome bonding experience for the conference teens. They are also an awesome spiritual events. Yea, I kinda wonder when Teens leave the club... I think more activities help them stay in pathfinders more. It is true some get too busy, I have at times, but events just for them helps I think. Also the a strong TLT program really helps

UCC Teen Pathfinder eXtreem event on the Mountian biking honor was a blast! 8) I love pathfinders and mountain biking so you can tell why I especially enjoyed it!

We had almost 50 bikers, the weather was perfect and the trails fun. Wenatchee, WA was a beautiful place to host the event. We stayed at the local Academy.

The spiritual punch was "the Fork in the trail" and choosing Jesus and his plan for our lives! The food kept us going, and the spiritual, physical, and social nourishment will sustain us for months to come. :D

We did two 5 mile rides Sabbath with the ride in the morning having stations on spiritual topics. Sunday was a 10 mile ride which was awesome. I even saw a black bear!

I deffenitly recomend you working toward starting more teen events in your conference. It's somthing to die for... and in our conference you work toward an honor too. Next spring is Rock Climbing... :)

Me three, me three. I love mountain biking. It gives me such a rush, it's amazing. I think it would be fun to make an advanced mountain biking honor. I'm glad you had fun, now I just have to get my conference to do something like that. Or at least I could do it with my club. :D

Hey you guys, I've enjoyed hearing about all your events. I'm from the Florida Conference, and I've been helping coordinate teen events here for a couple of years now. We always try to have @ least one big teen weekend a year, but in addition to that we'll to a couple 1 day events all over the state. Usually our one day events focus on either community service or team building. If you have any suggestions of stuff you guys have been to in your conferences that you really liked, please let me know. I'm always looking for fresh new ideas. I think one of your lext events will be a Luau by a freshwater spring. How does that sound?

*don't be fooled by the fancy title. I many not be a teen anymore, but I'm only 21. That still counts, right? At least, I still feel really young

TMA is such a great experience and you meet alot of new people too.TMA can actually give you a chance to make a difference in the community without having to travel far and break the bank. For some people it can also be a good spiritual experience! I would totally recommend it for anyone!! I really had a great time this year!

That's great Mitch! Do you think you might be coming to the 2007 TMA?

So my conference's Teen Retreat was the beginning of february. It was a great event at Camp Mivoden. There was snow when we got there. And, more snow fell during the weekend. Teens had a great time, enjoyed spending Sabbath together, grew spiritually, and had a western theme banquet and games Saturday night.

Fun times were had by all... I was a counselor this year. It was also my 6th Teen Retreat so I'm beginning to feel old. But that's ok, it's not much compared to the 25 or so years Teen Retreat has been going on for.

we have a TLT challenge weekend, this is essentially the amazing race recreated at camp cohutta. It is suppose to test your outdoor skills that you should have learned in your earlier years of pathfinders.

Oregon is really good about teen activities. We have separate weekends for Rock climbing, Caving, and Mountain bikeing, along with all the usual activities we stay busy!
