Hi all,

This is a really neat forum - we'll all be able to get to know each other! I've actually done something sorta like this - I met someone from a yahoo sda group I'm with and wound up meeting him at oshkosh last year.

Anyways - I'm from Panama City, FL - I'm surprised I haven't seen more ppl from FL here! 8)

Anybody close to me?

Marcie

Hey ya'll!!! I'm from the US of A!!! LOL!!! More specifically Kennewick, Washington. The state, not to be confused with Washington DC. :D Some people don't even know where WA is so I like to be specific. It's in the Pacific Northwest...just so ya know! :smt110

Nice! I used to live in Wisconsin. It was a really small town called River Falls. Wisconsin is a really cool place.

Hello all. Currently, I am from TN. I have lived in several different states. Maryland, Maine, Texas, and close to Boston for a little while.

TN is pretty nice. There isn't as much snow as I would like.

The accent is something that isn't just found in TN. I have been told by several people that the accent may be found in CA and GA. Sometimes it is even stronger in GA. I tend to try and hold onto some of my New England accent. I don't know how well I have been doing on that.

Hi everyone!
I'm from Creston, NC. We live about 5 minutes away from the TN border, in the western corner. :) It's in the Appalachian mountains, and I'm from the Appalachian Pathfinder club. 8) I was at Oshkosh, and got to do a flag raising too. Did anyone throw hatchets @ Oshkosh??? :D

:) Awesome Brittainy, I did the flag raising one morning when my union did it. Those flags were huge!!

Throwing hatchets sounds fun :!: There were so many activities. What section was it in? We did it last spring at our camping skills campout though. It was fun.

Hey Mitch!
Yep, those flags were big! How did you get chosen to do that? Our club was chosen at the last minute, but only the TLT's. Actually my sister was chosen to do it way before then, but at the last minute they chose us insted of her! Not fair! The hatchet throw thing was by the flags. We were teaching the Pioneer honor too and had a big white tent! The living history people were right by us as well. :) My sister and me wore pioneer dresses and bonnets all week too, which was fun. :D

Our conference had TLTs and older teens that were experienced in drilling and such do it. I think my club was specificly supose to have two people for the raising, if I remember right.

Ok, I'm oriented. That's awesome, I probibly saw you, There were some real looking costumes if I remember right. (I don't think the people that lived in the past would like me using the word costumes)

My club was camped in the back of the Upper Columbia Conference sign across the road from the frisbee golf. Not too far away... with a big white and blue tent. With a big Hermston Pathfinder baner on the side!

Good memories...

I remember my friend, Larissa, and I hanging out at your camp the very last night at like midnight. Those were good times! Staying that late got us in trouble...but even in trouble we had some good times there!!! At least we didn't have any tornadoes this time.
