I also enjoy mountain biking. It's hard to find time or a place to any more. Ever since I've moved into the city, I've only been able to bike on the road. When i lived in the counrty, everything good was only a 3 minute ride away. I'd go out into the forest and ride on an old train track. I also would go into a gravel pit and ride around, not illegally of course, my dad knew the owners for a lond time. I also enjoy, my favorite BARREL RACING, ATVing, boating, camping, swimming, cheerleading, and football.

road biking can be fun! and all the rest sounds fun too... well, except for the cheerleading (I'm a guy so, need i say more)... I don't personally own an ATV, but my grandfather has a farm in upstate NY and I get to go up there occasionally (if i ever get off work!) and ride his ATV's! :D

I just completed biking 50 miles a couple days ago, so I suppose that will go towards my biking honor!

That it should. I have found woodworking to be one of my new found hobbies.

Ah... Sports!!! That is very true, nothing quite like good team sports is there SuperZ! Well, I just invested into a new hobby this summer, longboarding! It's skateboarding... but just on a 44" board! It's great for getting to my job and getting to school. I'm not huge into it, but it feels more like snowboarding then riding my skateboard around ever did. It has a great feel, and it's pretty fun to go fast, but for now I don't try to push 20 mph... I still don't have the fastest stopping techniques, but I'm working on them.

It's really easy to stop... just find a tree and hit it... course that might hurt though....

I like rappelling... I just rappelled of an 876 foot tall bridge last weekend... that was a RUSH!!!! and two days before that an 820 foot tall mountain face!!!

AMAZING!!!!

That sounds like loads of fun rider... I want to do it! lets see... I have mentioned all of my hobbies a lot before, so I won't be redundant! The only new hobby that I really have to tell is the fire dept.

Rookie...... you really are a copy cat... man, can't get away from you

The more classes you take, the more stuff you get to do... just so you know

oh listen to you big head! you were a rookie once too remember! Besides everybody starts somewhere! as for the more classes, why is it, do you think, that I am not taking hard classes, but rather classes that I enjoy and will enhance my outdoors skills for the rest of my life! I can hardly wait until next semester!

Hey.... let's keep the station rivalry off the forum... just recall that on that structure fire Sabbath morning, engine 1 almost beat engine 5 to their own district....

that is all....

oh... yeah, just don't overwhelm yourself, or take all your fun classes now and leave a bunch of hard ones for later... just some advice

I am not starting a station rivalry! I don't really have a bias against you guys! If you look you at the posts, you will see that I have in no way started a rivalry! If anybody, it is you seeings how you are the first to mention it. BTW, I have no control over how fast 5 responds, I simply show up at station and get myself there as fast a possible! Oh ya, I found the item that you need at 1, I will try to talk with you more about when and how to get it to you. Now, back to the forum subject... I am starting to find a new hobby in computer programming.

Yeah... computer programming just doesn't appeal to me....

I want to know the answer to that question as well. Another hobby that I haven't listed here that I enjoy is woodworking.

I told you, it got really warm!

FYI... I'm a firefighter... We had a house fire on Friday and I was first through the door... and the fire was in the attic and we couldn't get to it for a couple minutes and the room was baking... felt like being in an oven... so yeah... my ears got burnt... my hood didn't even stop them, don't want to know how bad it would have been had I not had my hood on...

ok, well, see! I have been gone fer waaay too long! Here they're red, and if you live in the city, those things are loud! ouch....yeah, two sabbaths ago when we were greeting at the church's doors, we saw an ambulance come wailing up. We opened the door for them, and they entered with a gurney and all sorts of medical stuff. When they were inside, we heard that there was an elderly person who was having heart problems. Later we had to open the door for them as they went out, and one of men gave me a thumbs-up, so I'm guessing that they had got him stabilized or that he was at least fine. Well, that has got to be one of the most interesting Sabbath I've ever been to! [/b]

Yeah, I ran out of church once to go to a house fire... I was on the first interior attack team on that fire as well... As a volunteer department, we are on 24/7/365, and most of the time we aren't at the station when the call goes out...

I made third due truck on that last fire and still was first in the door... that was awesome!
