I am now officially entered into the TLT program. On Sabbath at Oshkosh at my conference's church service they gave me and others our 1st year TLT braids. My leaders and other directors are very happy that I'm a TLT but I don't know what I'm supposed to do! I do know that my leaders are going to be keeping a close eye on me to see if I fulfill the requirements of a TLT. Please help! Please pray for me too!

As a TLT, the best thing that you can do is look for opportunities to help the leaders out, lead out in things yourself, and learn about different aspects of running a Pathfinder club. That is the whole point of being a TLT, to teach you how to be a good leader--Pathfinder or otherwise.

I am going into education, and my very first class I have to do observations of real teachers in classrooms. My teacher tells us that when we start on these observations we should be constantly asking the teacher what we can do to help them out, whether it be grading papers, decorating a bulletin board, or they may even let us teach a class... but we need to get as much out of the observations as we can.

So I'm basically like the directors' helper who's there to help with honors, paperwork, watching the younger kids, help organizing, and etc?

Well, it really depends on what your director or other staff member ask you to do.

I know that in our club the TLTs' main job is to work together with the TLT leader to plan worships for the campouts, which we also are in charge of leading out in. In addition to that, we help with getting ready to go on a camping trip, once in a while we help plan menus for campouts, sometimes we might be put in charge of a small group of kids to keep them on task, stuff like that, or assist a staff member with teaching an honor something. It's not hard, but you really grow from the experiences you have.
