I have learned that Advent Source no longer carries the nice Men's Belt Buckles for Pathfinder Uniforms. Does anyone know of another source for this item?

It no longer exists. The Pathfinder belt and buckle officially are the unisex belt and buckle only. No one manufactures the other buckle for a lack of market so there is no store to buy them at.

Sorry, I like them better myself but ther are fiscally prudent reasons for the change so I am sure it will endure.

The old girl's belt was a very nice belt.
I really like the style.
Both the belts are now collector's items.
My belt buckle is an old one with MJV on it.
I have put several leather belts on that old buckle.
I just hope the cast metal hinge does not give up.

I myself still wear the "old" style belt buckle (or do I?). I agree the they are far superior to the current version in quality and looks. But there are two sides to every coin.

Remember that the majority of all uniforms are purchased by parents who may have multiple children in various clubs. Remember also that kids grow but the parents income does not.

The new belts 30", 40", and 50" with the buckles cost $4.95, $5.95, and $6.95 respectively.
The old belts cost 8.95 and up. :!: What most people do not realize is that the company that made them was bought out by another company and the cost was going to double from the $8.95 to $16.95! This prompted the NAD Pathfinder Committee to look at alternatives to find a belt that fit the expectations of the parents and the standards of the Pathfinder program as a whole.

 More than a belt, what they found was a tool that has 101 uses!!

 I have used it to:

1. Hold up my pants
2. Hold glued wood pieces together
3. hold rolled sleeping bags together
4. hold rolled sleeping mats
5. temporary fix for my bicycle
Etc.

:?: Can you add to this list? :?:

I can't add to your list, but I used a PF belt to hold three rolled sleeping mats two days ago.

I have used belts to catch stubborn horses that run at the sight of a halter and lead rope! Just wear it until you get there, then slip it over the poll of their necks. For horses that try to break away from this, you can buckle the belt to have more control. Esther

Actually the General Conference still sells the Male Belt Buckle, but not the female.

So some are still available
