How have you enforced / provided encouragment towards a standard skirt length in your club?

Thought this forum might benefit from some answers.

We have always fallen back on what I was raised with as the Adventist standard, 2" above the knee no more. Some girls, and women will wear longer.

It is more difficult these days, two years ago there was a girl in our club that was 11. She was what I call the Milk and Chicken Syndrome, that is at 11 she looked like she was at least 15 and was nearly 5' 10", I blame this on the added production hormones used in farms and dairies that mass produce products thus the name. A nice girl who was caught between wanting to be involved and giving up some of the liberal dressing habits that her father (not SDA) allowed. This was short shorts and short tops, I finally had to tell her that wether it was a car wash or inspection she had to meet certian standards or she would simply not be welcome any more.

CLothing has not been such a challange for us, that girl was nearly unique. We do face another challange I think I will bring up in another spot so to stay on target.

God Bless,

We had difficulty enforcing the uniform guidelined for pants and shoes. We kept having kids show up in white sneakers and the girls in tight pants.
Unfortunately, most of those kids no longer attend or are very sporadic....

We have a club director in South Louisiana that uses the following method to determine correct skirt length.
Ask the girl to kneel on her knees with her upper body straight, if the skirt touches the ground it was ok for that director. You don't need a ruler using this method. I think this method puts the shirt at mid knee.

[*]this is one instance where we may follow United States Military Standards for skirt length. The knees will be covered at all times. This length may be simply applied to shorts.
