I just recieved a letter from the NAD about a possible AY curriculum update. It also came with a NAD AY class intructor's survey. Has anyone else recieved this?

This forum might be better under the classwork area.

No, I did not receive any such info or survey, but I do think we need an update. Not so much to the curriculum because some of the informaton we really need to know, but to the requirements. It needs to be more clear as to what is required and what is not (I like specifics..leaves no room for error), and there should be more things that are required. It may also be a good idea to add two more classes for the 11th and 12th graders. From what I heard from my (Florida) conference leaders and read from the forum topic http://www.pathfindersonline.org/forum/ ... ht=florida, it sems to work well at keeping our Pathfinders in the club, as most of them are not ready or interested in becoming a MG.

I have heard about the two extra class levels in Florida. That is one way to do it.

It has been a while since I recieved that letter. At this point, I am not even sure if I still have it. Honestly, my parents' might have thrown it away.

At this point, I would agree with you on this issue. This thread is likely a bit of a dead end.

Hey VPF,

If you've lost your forms, all is not lost. There's a link to an online version on the front page of pathfinders.org. I filled mine out there and was able to strike up a dialog with someone on the other end of the wire. If you have input,I recommend that you fill it out!

The survey can be found at:
http://www.pathfindersonline.org/resource_survey.html

The NAD Curriculum Resource Committee is the one running the survey. They will get back with you IF you invest the time to give meaningful input.

God bless,

Hey Mark,

I had a hard time filling out that form - I don't know if it's because I don't use Internet Explorer, or if it's because I don't use Windows, or if it's a bug in the form. I had to hold down the mouse button to fill in the required fields, otherwise, it wouldn't let me enter any text. AFAIK, this was true only of the fields marked "required".

Greetings,

The form is coded for HTML 4.01 transitional, which means it should run in most browsers, at least those that are at least attempting to concur with W3C standards. I will look and see, but its a pretty basic form.

Try updating your browser, since that would be where the problem is. Sometimes different browsers interpret javascript differently.

I'm running the latest Firefox, so I don't think that's it.

Okay, I've got firefox, I'll see for myself.

Thanks for your consistent update.

At this point, it looks like you must
hold down on the spacebar while filling out the conference field of the Resource Survey if you are using Firefox.

I am pursuing a number of technical options to correct this error.

Thanks for your understanding.

Spacebar? Or left mouse button?

Thanks for the link. Sorry it took me so long to get back to the forum. I am now working almost 50 hours a week.

For firefox, you must hold the right mouse button.

I have just one question. When did Alabama lose it's status as a state? It isn't on the list.

To stay on topic, I hope to be able to share the link with the staff in my club. Thanks again for the link Mark.
