Throughout 2006, with a special focus in April, Pathfinders around the North American Division contributed to an NAD goal of raising thousands of dollars to assist victims of the 2005 hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

At the end of 2006, $15,000 dollars had been donated, and Adventist Community Services has matched that amount to provide NAD Youth Ministries with $30,000 to assist victims in the region.

Begininning in April, volunteers from the three local conferences, will assist between ten and twenty-five victim families, by providing the resources needed to finally get them back into their homes. Even though it has been over a year since the hurricanes, there are still thousands of families without the necessary resources, even if its just a few thousand dollars, to finally get back into their homes. We are looking forward to helping several families make this transition back to home residence.

In July, please visit our site to get further updates, along with pictures, stories, and videos of the differences made in the gulf coast region.

Elder James Black says "Please let the pathfinders know how much they are appreciated for their efforts. They are the best!!!."

Our church treasurer still hasn't sent the money we raised before the first deadline (Ithink in April of '06) our conference office. Is it too late? Where can we send what we have so that it can be used for what it was intended for?
