I am a fencer and I was wondering if there is a fencing honor? If there isn't I would like to make one. :D

I would have to refresh my memory, I am not certain fencing would be allowed on the premise that it is a weapon class. If it were allowable under the areas of what an Honor can be then it would also need to meet all of the requirements of the conference/union insurance policy. You are welcome to develop Pilot Honors and there are guidelines in this forum for doing so but any honor must meet the spirit and written requirements of the Pathfinder organization to succeed.

I would be astonished if a Fencing honor were accepted in the NAD. Here's a quote from The Philosophy of NAD AY Honors, against which all proposed honors are evaluated:

Quote:
Proposed AY Honors should adhere to
environmental and non-combative principles. This
means that life is considered inherently valuable,
whether plant, animal, or human. Thus, honors
should avoid such topics as armed or unarmed
defense.

I understand that in fencing, the object is not to harm one's opponent, but I think it would still be considered a form of armed combat.

I would have to agree with fish here, the only way to know if a Fencing honor would be accepted is to propose it and pilot it. Although, I too do not think the NAD would go for it.

As I see fencing is fast and athletic. Instead of swinging from a chandelier or leaping from balconies, you will see two fencers performing an intense dance on a six-feet-by-40-feet strip. The movement is so fast the touches are scored electrically.
