A web forum is a online website community where you can post messages and questions and other people can respond with comments and answers. It is essentially a web community.

I am looking for some tips, how we can encourage conversation here and increase participation.

Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is to just keep posting questions and tips. As this thread illustrates though, posting questions is not necessarily sufficient!

Our community has not yet recovered from the temporary (though extended) loss of the forum over the winter. It's still waiting for spring!

Until spring comes, we need to continue using the forum ourselves so that when new people (or old friends) come along, they can see that the forum is active and alive.

That does not address the problem of getting people to discover the forum in the first place though.

Let your local club leadership know, let your conference office know, etc. about the resource repository of suggestions already here and the reviving community that this forum offers.

I am SO GLAD to see that the NAD has re-initiated this forum, it would have been a significant loss, but it is now up to each of US to make it meaningful in its "second life."
