Hi! Are any of you TCKs? A TCK is a Third Culture Kid.

A Third Culture Kid is anyone who has been born in their home country, but then moved from country to country, and thus grown up with many cultures.

I was born in America, but have moved between California, Russia, England, Nebraska, and the Philippines.

So I'm excited to hear about any of you!

Also, I just started up a new forum for TCKs, which you can find at:

http://www.tckforum.com/tck

If you are a TCK, you can join! Also, if you think you could handle moderating duties, just PM me once you join!

Can't wait to hear from all of you! Have a nice rest of the week!

I often wish that I was. I have lived in the USA all my life. I think being a tck would give a person a greater respect and a much more diversely cultured background. I think my perspective on life would be better as a tck, had I been one.

Yes it really is a great experience. :)

If you ever feel the calling, take it! It's a wonderful life changing event.

Are there no other TCKs or MKs on this forum? Surely with so many registered I thought there would be..

I think it would be great to grow up that way. Not only would you have friends in multiple places... and you would possibly know more than one language... that would be awesome!!!

After being on several mission trips, I have sometimes wondered if it wouldn't have been cool to grow up, or live in a foreign country for a little while.

Yes, it truly is a great experience. There's nothing like having a broad world view and understanding different cultures. :)

I've never experienced more than a couple months on a mission trip! I would like to be a missionary for at least a couple years of my life. I'll go were God leads though.
