I completed Friend through Ranger as a kid and I just completed my MG in the spring and was invested. Now I am contemplating going back and completing the Voyager and Guide courses. We have no other MG's in the club. Is it a conflict of interest to sign myself off on my own honors and classes? Or since I earned it and won't abuse it, can I legitimately sign off my own card without issue?

Please don't tell me this is another of those "depends on your conference/union" things, though I have a feeling that is part of the correct answer. We really need to standardize these things.

I sign myself off on AY classes and honors. I think this is entirely appropriate for an adult, especially if you are a MG, or if you are teaching the AY class. I trust my counselors to tell me who completed the AY and honor work, even when that includes themselves.

Thanks. I find that I've already completed many of the requirements for Voyager and Guide already so I may complete one or both this coming year.

Oh one other thing. If you use a class diary, that provides some documentation so that if there's ever a question, you can whip it out and have some evidence to point to. I know several clubs do not use the diaries, but since we do, it's built into my mindset.
