Have you looked in Pawn Shops in your area?

I'm the subdirector of a club that has a drum corp ministry for the past 15 years here in Forest City, Florida.
here are some basics...
you can learn to play now before you get your drums... (spare your new drums) that way the kids may be a little more motivated to raise funds.
practice pads and drum sticks... you can also find drums here.
we use either the Vic Firth pads or the Remo... they're both good...
marching drums here: The best prices on Snare Drums
http://www.music123.com/Marching-Snare- ... hing+drums
just click on Marching Percussion for the rest of the drums..
This is a site where it teaches the basics and advance techniques on all types of drumming..
this covers pretty much all of Marching Drum Corp style... education
this website covers all type of drumming from... corps style (that's us) to
drum set.. (rocknroll)
as for the specific stick models i don't know at this point.
if you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Our club had a hard time getting drums , but when we finally got the drums the children didnt come to practice. so i think its a good idea to price the drums and have the children give 25-50% of what the drums cost so it wont lie on the clubs shoulders to payall the money and they will want to get their moneys worth out of the drums but you should look for sales in for drums on the internet our club got brand new drums fom Ebay[img][/img]

Thank you guys for all your replies... It's been awhile.. But it ends up that the adults in our church didn't cooperate and in the end the youths suffer, and some of the members moved to different church..
So our club had a hard time getting a Drum Line started.
Anyway, thank you so much for your inputs. And thanks for the links.
