New & Upgraded Honors in 2018

Several New AY Honors have been created in 2018. 

The following honor REQUIREMENTS are available, though patches are still in production.

Use this opportunity now to plan occasions this summer and into next Pathfinder year to find teachers and instructional time to incorporate some of the newest honors available!

The following honors also received UPDATES to make them more relevant to our Division/time/safety.


New Associates Join NAD Youth/Young Adult Ministry Team


The North American Division is proud to announce that two new associate directors will be joining Youth and Young Adult Ministries.

Pastor Armando Miranda, Jr. joins the team having recently served as the Associate Youth Ministries Director for Texas. Armando will serve as Director for Junior Youth Ministries which includes, club ministries such as Little Lambs, Eager Beavers, Adventurers, Pathfinders, Ambassadors, Master Guides and assist with Senior Youth.

Pastor Tracy Wood, joins the team from the Oregon Conference where he recently served as the Youth & Young Adult Ministries Director. Tracy will serve as Director for Young Adults and Adventist Christian Fellowship (the ministry for Adventist Students on Public Campuses).


Pastor James Black, Sr., Director for Youth & Young Adult Ministries will now focus on serving Senior Youth – which includes Camps, High School, AYS, Federations, Convention Planning, Resource Development, and Department Chair.

The extended team of independent contractors, volunteer ministry coordinators, focus group leaders, etc., will remain in place as we all welcome the new department alignment structure and leadership.

"It is a great day for Youth & Young Adult Ministries in the North American Division. With the addition of a second associate, we are extremely excited about future possibilities," said Pastor Black. "We have a great team in Armando and Tracey. Their unique gifts and talents will benefit the entire network of leaders and their young people. Our best days are now!"
